THREE ARRESTED AT 151 CLAY STREET
(4/24/2006) NEW HAVEN – Three city men were arrested this afternoon during the execution of a search and seizure warrant at 151 Clay Street.
Lewis Freeman, 23, of 131 Clay Street, Jerome Dixon, 26, of 42 Ridge Road, and a 17-year-old man were charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a hallucinogenic, possession of a hallucinogenic with intent to sell, possession of a hallucinogenic within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a hallucinogenic with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school and two counts of cruelty to animals.
Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Unit, along with patrol officers, had made entry to the residence through the front door when two dogs, a pit bull and a pit bull mix, were released. The pit bull was killed and the pit bull mix was injured. No officers sustained injury.
Police seized $271, 150 bags of crack, four “eight balls,” two bags of heroin and 10 Ecstasy pills.
Prior to the execution of the warrant, police arrested Santa Figueroa, 30, of 159 English Street. She was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia within 1500 feet of a school.
